ARTWORK > Shadow Mountains

This expansive drawing shows a layered landscape that fades into the background. The imagery recalls generous views of the Hudson Valley in which mountains no longer appear concrete, but rather like shadows of mountains that are soft and atmospheric as they fade into the horizon. The impression of this experience is documented here, representing no place in particular, just a shift of perspective from a personal inclusiveness within a landscape to an observation of it as geography.
