ARTWORK > Traced Light

The skylights in my studio at the Byrdcliffe artist colony created striking light projections on the wall. Over the course of a few weeks, I traced the light at different times of the day to capture the lapses in time and movement across the wall as the light waxed and waned. The walls themselves are layered with paint and various markings from the artists who came before. The light moves on, never returning to the same location, and this drawing serves as evidence of this history.
